EarthCorps Event in the Park Sept 28

The Green Kirkland Partnership, has arranged for volunteers from  EarthCorps to cometo Juanita Heights Park on September 28 from 10:00 to 2:00 to clear approximately 6000 feet of blackberries. You read that right six thousand feet! The EarthCorps mission off of their site reads:  Seattle-based EarthCorps trains emerging environmental leaders from across the United States and around the world and engages more than 10,000 volunteers each year to restore natural areas around the Puget Sound region. You can go out to the Green Kirkland Partnership site to volunteer for this event. Looks like 55 volunteers are anticipated during this human effort to clear blackberries from a slope on the park’s sunnyside! Click on the “register today” for the Saturday, September 28 event. What should you bring?  Stamina!
